It has been a while..
2019 has flown by- It is already May!
It has been a long time since I wrote a blog update... And honestly, it has been because I didn't know what to say. I have raced in so many World Cup events and a World Championships since I last wrote. But what do you say when things aren't going the way you hoped?
My results on paper have not been what I hoped this season. I have been reviewing things that happened, from getting home after the Olympics in March 2018, through the pre season and competition season, all the way to the plane returning home in March 2019. I am looking forward to sitting down with my team and adjusting our plans to ensure that our WC season for 2019/20 is setting us up for a successful Olympics in 2022.
I have had almost three months to think about EVERYTHING, since I returned home. So many things have happened- it is hard to articulate as I type.
I have been posting a Candid Chat regularly for the past few weeks (on youtube and instagram).
Initially, I did it to get more comfortable speaking in front of the camera. But it has become so much more than that! It has become a conversation with myself, that I happen to share. It is unscripted, unedited and real. It is RAW.
It is Just me, engaging with whomever chooses to watch, about things that are happening in my life. I have posted two chats below....
