Autumn in Switzerland 🇨🇭

What a pleasure it is to be back in Saas Fee, Switzerland. I got so much out of our training camp here in September 2016, that I am excited to be back here for two and a half weeks this October. 

I am training alongside the Canadian Ski Cross team. We are doing some GS training and also training on a full length Ski Cross track that the Swiss Ski Cross team’s head coach Ralph has built all summer. 

The conditions here are fantastic- We have been very lucky with the weather and so far have had mostly blue skies! I have had roughly 4-6 hours on the Hill in the morning and then have been doing my ‘dry-land’ training in the afternoons outside my hotel. 

There has been so many Australian athletes training here- Paralympic Alpine (ask the girls how ‘brave’ I was when we went on the ‘sommer-rodelbahn’), Park and Pipe skiers and snowboarders as well as Belle Brockhoff from the Aussie SBX team (if you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen some of our interesting ways to stay entertained daily..)

I have one more week here and the conditions will hopefully remain as good as they have been- although if the cooler temperatures and some precipitation doesn’t come soon, it will be a very green winter in Europe.

With thanks to the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia, I have both Shawn and Danny with me as well as my awesome ski tech Martin. Looking forward to hitting some more big jumps in the track in Saas Fee over the next few days!
