LEKI Lenhart GmbH was a spin off from the wood processing plant of Karl Lenhart created in Dettingen under Teck in 1948, which produced the wooden letters for lettering used by bakeries or butchers.
LEKI's unique development started as a result of the founders' personal dissatisfaction: Karl Lenhart, an avid skier himself, was less than impressed by the quality and functionality of the ski poles of the time. Olympic Winter Institute of Australia

The OWIA is a supported program of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and receives considerable funding from the Australian Sports Commission and benefits from the many experts based at the AIS in Canberra.

The clear objective of the OWIA is focusing resources on the areas where the best results and medals can be achieved at the Olympic Winter Games in 2018. Also important is the provision of experiences and fundamentals during the OWG quadrennial period, which may increase the possible medal tally at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

Delivered in partnership with the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia and Ski & Snowboard Australia (Olympic Sports) and Ski & Snowboard Australia and Australian Paralympic Committee (Paralympic Sports), the NSWIS Winter Sports Program aims to support Australian winter sport athletes to become world’s best on the international stage.

The partnership is also supported by Perisher and Thredbo ski resorts providing world class on snow facilities, as well as the NSW Office of Sport through Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre.

Ski & Snowboard Australia

SSA continues to strive for improvement in management and program-related systems across all disciplines, to ensure consistency and security of results into the future. This Strategic Plan addresses those areas, and seeks to build on SSA’s recent successes in both the newer ski & snowboard disciplines and the traditional skiing disciplines which have underpinned the membership of SSA for so long.
