Time to Race
Winter has arrived in Europe. I have had a productive training camp in Pitztal, Austria to wrap up preparations for the upcoming World Cup/Olympic season. The temperatures have been cold in most parts of Europe, so snow cover should be good for the upcoming Cross Alps Tour.
I had some 'warm up' racing last week in Pitztal- I competed in a Europa Cup (level down from World Cup) where all but two world cup teams showed up. It was great to have some high intensity racing before I head to Val Thorens next week. The Cross Alps tour keeps me very busy in December. See the full calendar HERE.
I am now having a ski boot free week (my toes are still frozen from -25 on Sunday!) and I am heading to the Australian Institute of Sport European Training Centre in Gavirate, Italy tomorrow. I will have a few days of solid gym training prior to Val Thorens. I am really looking forward to returning to the ETC- I haven't been since September 2016. The training, the laundry facilities.... The amazing coffee that is LESS than 1 Euro! Simple pleasures.....
Here are some pictures from the past few weeks- Enjoy as I prepare for the upcoming races!
